ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manufacture multiple Functional Genomics products and provide technical support to others. Design and perform operations in support of the group and department. Perform procedures independently, accurately, in a safe manner, and according to an established protocol. Assist in the development of protocols to improve efficiency and performance. Review protocols and set up production according to priority level. Determine types and quantities of reagents needed and identify and use appropriate equipment. Maintain stock requirements through planning and ordering supplies. Coordinate across team reagent and supply usage levels.
The qualified candidate should be able to perform non-routine assays, assist in the troubleshooting processes to resolve problems, assist in technical review of routine assays, and assist in spreading best practices through process improvement in the department. Can use a logical approach to moderate problem solving and demonstrate the ability and technical knowledge to develop an involved experimental design. Must be willing to ensure quality documents accurately reflect current procedures and be able to document procedures with appropriate technical detail in writing as directed by supervisor.
