Job Description

Responsible for providing customer support to NAI SE region for requested color matching and color proofs along with National support and new business transition projects. Apply color theory and digital color principals using various lab equipment, Access database, SAP, Outlook, Excel and color software/hardware to yield proficient color matching and proofing to a defined daily output standard and digital/physical quality specifications to meet NAI customer request.


  • Create and reproduction of high quality Color Match and proofs for all incoming requests for supporting geographical region.
  • Create and reproduction of high quality Color Match and proofs for National new business transition projects.
  • Format and create customer presentations in accordance to established strict specification tolerances.
  • Performs standard color proofs to insure compliance to customer and internal specifications, uses various proofing equipment across multiple applications, color software/hardware, color data transmission and submits proof results.
  • Provide accurate formulae for both local and feeder sites in a digital shared file.
  • Accurate real time account of and reporting of color match data through designated software.
  • Complete and accurate date entry reporting of all project activities on a daily basis through designated software.
  • Use of appropriate colorants, finished ink systems, additives, special effect metallic, pearlescent, optical brighteners, vehicles and extenders.
  • Use of various substrates for color matching and proofs.
  • Maintains lab and equipment in the highest standards for a clean working environment.
  • Performs calibration of all lab equipment according to frequency schedule.
  • Data entry of project in appropriate file location either physical, electronic or both.
  • Assign EMG codes for color matches through SAP.
  • Identifies need for ordering equipment and supplies for RCML through an approval process.
  • Works with Lead and/or Manager to determine project priorities.
  • Adheres to all safety rules and regulations according to ISO/EHS.
  • Back fill responsibilities in the absence of location lead.

Position Requirements
  • Associate Degree, technical trade school or minimum 4 years industry technical experience
  • Off Set Ink experience preferred.
  • In Plant experience a plus.
  • 4 - 6 years prior color matching in multiple ink systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
