Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for matching of inks within the prescribed formulating methods to meet customer requirements. Coordinates projects at RMCL location. Directs team to ensure objectives are met.


In addition to Color matcher functions 1-12

  • Color Match all incoming requests from both local and feeder sites.
  • Produce high quality proofs for customer presentations according to request
  • Performs standard tests to insure compliance to specifications, makes test runs on proofs press, and submits test results.
  • Provide accurate formulae for both local and feeder sites in a shared file
  • Accurate account of and reporting of daily hours through designated software
  • Complete and accurate reporting of all project activities on a daily basis through designated software.
  • Keep RCML stocked with appropriate colorants, systems, vehicles and substrates through the inventory tracking system.
  • Maintains all lab equipment in clean working order.
  • Calibration of all equipment according to frequency schedule.
  • Files completed projects in appropriate file location either physical, electronic or both.
  • Respond to inquiries in VA 15 in conjunction with technical lab staff.
  • Works with management to determine project priorities.
  • Sets and keeps lab schedules for color matches and keeps up to date on all amendments to original projects.
  • Monitors RCML mailbox for new requests on a frequent basis.
  • Works with management to determine project priority.
  • Fields urgent RCML incoming phone calls as required for expediting needs.
  • Defines need for ordering equipment and supplies for RCML through an approval process
  • When applicable, enter BOM and Recipe into SAP.
  • Answers inquiries in VA15 in conjunction with technical lab staff
  • Oversees the training of laboratory personnel
  • Adheres to all safety rules and regulations according to ISO/EHS
  • Completes performance management evaluation of team.
Position Requirements


College graduate with preference for heavy concentration in math and chemistry courses.

2-5 years prior color matching in multiple ink systems.

Certified on lab equipment.

Demonstrate the ability for organization, communication and leadership
