Job Summary: Field Process Engineer, Lam Research Corporation, Hillsboro, OR. Responsible for process support and installation of Lam equipment at customer sites. Evaluate and document process outputs of wafer-fabrication hardware modifications and upgrades to existing systems. Set up and complete experiments, collecting data and generating reports for both internal and external distribution. Develop new processes for new applications at customer sites on existing Lam equipment. Initiate escalations, quality investigations and process reviews. Develop relationship with process engineers in other regions, especially those running like applications. Perform application related project management, which includes planning, conducting and technically directing moderately complex projects and defining problems and objectives, developing approach, analyzing results and providing recommendation for new and existing Lam equipment. Work with senior engineers and customers to understand customer technology roadmaps, process: flow, inflection points, requirements and business issues/ challenges. Design and complete Design of Experiment (DOE) evaluations to characterize process window for new installations or Lam recommended field hardware modifications/ upgrades. Develop new processes for small variants to existing customer applications. Present technical and marketing materials to a high standard. Develop good customer relations during start-up and trouble-shooting and work closely with customer to understand customer issues and demands. Keep existing and potential customers informed when new and/ or additional needs are identified. Provide technical instruction and mentoring for entry level Engineers.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in process engineering.

Must have education or experience in at least 1 of the following: Design of Experiments (DOE); statistical process control (SPC); analysis of large, multivariate data sets; semiconductor fabrication; and/or semiconductor equipment manufacturing.

Must have education or experience in at least 2 of the following instruments/techniques: Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM); CDSEM; XPS; Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR); Ellipsometry; EDX; Optical Emission Spectroscopy; Laser spectroscopy; Spectrashape; oscilloscope; spectrometer; XRD; or Confocal and Optical Microscopy.

Must have education or experience in 2 of the following software: MATLAB; LabVIEW; JMP; Power BI; Solidworks; Origin, and/or programming with C, C++, SQL or Python.

Experience may be gained while in graduate school.

Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.

Salary: $130,291.00 to $156,000.00 per Year
