Rapidly Growing global human and animal nutrition company is seeking an Analytical Technician on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded new grad with a minimum of 2 years of experience within a research environment!
Type of Job: Contract
Pay: $24/hr
Responsibilities:
Preparation of reagents and media for assays and performing assays as directed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Conduct regular equipment validation and maintenance checks.
Execute a range of laboratory techniques and protocols related to analytical chemistry.
Assist the Senior Research Scientist in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new protocols.
Interpret and adapt experimental protocols from literature
Perform streak plating techniques for bacterial sample isolation.
Conduct bacterial enumeration for various sample types.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related field with 2+ years of related experience
Experience performing various assays and techniques (bacterial enumeration, microbial assays, spectrophotometric assays, serial dilutions, etc)
Preferred to have experience with PCR, microbial plating, ELISA assays, and SDS-PAGE
