Project Engineer

Piper Companies is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join a leading provider of water treatment and membrane technology solutions in Venice, Florida in an On-Site environment. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a collaborative engineering environment and are passionate about delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for potable water systems.

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer includes:

• Provide engineering support for membrane treatment projects, including design, development, and documentation.
• Perform analytical design and specify system components for reverse osmosis and low-pressure membrane systems.
• Create proposals and estimates for project bids, including cost analysis.
• Assist in developing project schedules and coordinate with client engineers and contractors.
• Prepare technical documentation such as P&IDs, equipment layouts, and submittals.
• Track and control project progress, timelines, and costs.
• Interface with vendors to request quotes, review proposals, and select cost-effective components.
• Write and edit O&M manuals, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors for documentation.
• Collaborate with internal CAD and fabrication teams to develop detailed designs.
• Support equipment installation, start-up, testing, and operator training on-site as needed.

Qualifications for the Project Engineer includes:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in project management within an engineering or industrial environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with capital equipment and industrial project lifecycles.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Venice, FL, Monday through Friday during daylight hours.
• Willingness to travel less than 10% for trade shows and project support.

Compensation for the Project Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
• Work Environment: Casual dress code, air-conditioned office, collaborative team culture
