A Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, United States. This position reports to Dr. Sara Zanivan, Associate Professor in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics and Scientific Director of the Proteomics Core.

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate the metabolic regulation of the immune microenvironment in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), with a focus on the role and mechanisms by which cancer associated fibroblasts drive immunosuppression. The project will leverage advanced technologies, including cutting-edge spatial mass spectrometry-based proteomics. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, preparing manuscripts, and actively participating in lab meetings, journal clubs, and seminars.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The Postdoctoral Fellow's primary research focus is to help the PI merge mechanistic insights with the translational objectives of experimental therapeutics and to address unmet clinical needs in ovarian cancer. The Postdoctoral Fellow will train, learn and study design, data analysis and manuscript writing.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Individuals with a PhD degree in cancer biology, metabolism, immunology, or related fields with less than 2 years of postdoctoral experience. Experience with rodent studies and spatial omic technologies is preferred for this role. Candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Proven track record of publications, excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

Stipend support will follow the NIH Kirschstein-NRSA stipend levels level for the appropriate PGY.

POSITION INFORMATION
MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000 . depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience.
