Support Operating Units by resolving supplier challenges, optimizing regional supply chain performance. This involves finding, onboarding, developing, industrializing, and monitoring suppliers for direct materials, resale products, and installation services. You will be responsible for assessing supplier capabilities, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to improve timely delivery, quality, and overall performance. This position requires a strong understanding of supplier development principles, analytical skills, and the ability to travel approximately 25% to conduct on-site assessments and audits.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $100,500 - $147,400 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will do in This Role:

  • Conduct Supplier Performance Management activities for Supply Chain Solutions and Industrial Truck (Forklift) Solutions.

  • Conduct Rapid Plant Assessments (RPA), Initial Supplier Assessments (ISA) and Capacity & Risk review.

  • The Supplier Performance Management Engineer focuses on continuous improvement / development through performance improvement (On Time Delivery and audit scores), supplier proficiencies (capacity increase or new capability and technology development) and risk mitigation (including alternative sourcing, process improvement, financial stability, and tooling risk).

  • Monitors supplier performances using Scorecard metrics. Performance indicators can help identify suppliers that should be included in a Supplier Development Plan led by SPM.

What Were Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience in business, engineering, or technical field.

  • Shown analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Preferred 5 years Supplier Development or Supplier Quality experience.

  • Ability to conduct process and equipment assessments, on-site audits, reviewing evidence.

  • Proficiency in applying hard data and metrics to develop strategy and support recommendations.

  • Ability to both think strategically and implement tactically.

  • Passion for process excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Problem solver needing minimal mentorship.

  • Self-motivator.

  • Willing to travel (~25%)
