Responsibilities:
- Performance of physical and analytical test on incoming raw materials, shipments, in-process, and finished products, in a timely manner.
- Take inventory of laboratory consumable items upon request.
- Operation, calibration, and maintenance of all laboratory equipment/instrumentation.
Record results of calibration or Q-test in the appropriate place, as specified by the
Chemicals SOP.
- To be continually familiar with the Chemicals SOPs and test methods as
changes are made.
- Report “out-of-control” points or faulty equipment at once to Sr. Lab Coordinator and/or Lab Supervisor so that issues may be addressed in a timely fashion.
- Storage, movement, and disposal of chemical raw materials and products according to the Chemicals SOP and applicable State and Federal regulations.
- Keep the laboratory and work area clean and orderly.
- Perform testing of Compound lubricant samples and entering data in ASR Database as needed.
- Perform non-phthalate analysis of Hose samples as needed.
- Basic SPC and MSA knowledge.
- Preparation and certification of in-house standards/Q-test samples.
Skills/Education Requirements:
- Previous lab experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
