Logistics: Job Title: Research Associate III
Pay Rate: $40-$42/hr - w2 only- can not support visas or go C2C Length: 1 year contract with potential extension Location: Round Lake, IL - 100% onsite

Job Overview: This position supports analytical testing for nitrosamines and impurities using LC/MS/MS. The role is part of a small, collaborative team performing high-impact lab testing for a recently spun-off Baxter company. This is a high-visibility, fast-paced contract role candidates must be independent, communicative, and proactive.

Qualifications (Required & Preferred):

Required:

• 3-5 years of hands-on L CMS experience and have Mass spectometry specific experience (Agilent MassHunter preferred but can be trained on this tool if you have used something similar)

• Experience with trace contaminants, impurities, or nitrosamines analysis (training on nitrosamines provided)

• Familiarity with various sample prep techniques (e.g., SPE, LLE)

• Prior work in a regulated lab setting with understanding of GDP

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently, manage workflow, and own responsibilities

• Degree in Chemistry or related field: * MS & 3+ years of experience or BS with 5-7 years expeirence

Pluses:

• Experience with nitrosamine testing

• Familiarity with Agilent MassHunter software

• Background in pharma, medical device, or agriculture industries

• Previous use of electronic lab notebooks (ELNs)

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Perform LC/MS/MS analyses for nitrosamines and impurities

• Independently plan, execute, and troubleshoot methods

• Prepare samples using SPE and LLE

• Maintain and operate MS instruments

• Follow GDP and SOPs to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance

• Document results in ELNs and author protocols, summaries, and technical reports

• Participate in team-based sample/data rotations (prep, run, report, review)

• Communicate trends, results, and findings to scientists and non-technical stakeholders

• Collaborate within a small lab team to ensure smooth handoffs and clear data tracking
