Research and Development (R&D) Chemist

Research and Development (R&D) Chemist Automation Personnel Services is currently seeking an experienced Research and Development (R&D) Chemist with a strong background in UV chemistry, specifically within inks, coatings, and adhesives. This role is highly hands-on, requiring extensive bench work as well as direct collaboration with suppliers for technical assistance. Compensation Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Schedule Monday through Friday Frist shift basis R&D Chemist Responsibilities

• Formulate and develop UV-curable coatings and adhesives for the graphic arts industry.
• Evaluate and qualify new raw materials for product development initiatives
• Support quality assurance efforts by establishing standardized testing protocols and procedures.
• Assist in the scale-up process and provide troubleshooting support during manufacturing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and communicate with sales representatives regarding customer-specific projects.
• Compile detailed reports and maintain thorough documentation of development activities.
• Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of laboratory instruments and workspace.

R&D Chemist Requirements

• Bachelors degree in chemistry or a related field, with a prior knowledge or experience in formulating UV inks, coatings, or adhesives for graphic applications.
• Strong knowledge of 100% solids UV-curable systems relevant to the graphic arts market.
• Understanding of printing, coating, and converting technologies and applications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment .
• Excellent mathematical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of working independently on assigned projects.
