Client Overview:

Our client is a highly regulated food developer and manufacturer with products on grocery shelves nationwide. Their team is now looking for a Quality Lab Analyst.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22/hr - $26/hr

Position Description:

The Quality Lab Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the safety, quality, and consistency of food products through rigorous lab testing, process monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Lab Analyst will collaborate across departments to uphold regulatory standards and support the development of high-quality food products.

Responsibilities of the Quality Lab Analyst:

• Conduct lab tests on ingredients and finished products. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of results.
• Review and monitor production processes to ensure compliance with critical control points, product specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze production data related to food safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of food safety and quality programs. Contribute to the evaluation and resolution of customer complaints.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to address product and process issues using structured problem-solving tools.
• Provide training to production staff on quality standards and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to validate formulations and ensure new or revised products meet quality standards.
• Verify the accuracy of in-process formulas, specifications, and testing procedures. Recommend and implement changes as needed.
• Lead sensory testing of in-process and finished products. Adjust formulations as necessary to maintain or enhance product quality.
• Conduct sanitation and safety audits.

Required Experience/Skills for the Quality Lab Analyst:

• Experience in a Quality lab performing testing or executing Quality Assurance document review or investigations.
• Professional communication skills with the ability to utilize the MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of lab safety and housekeeping protocol.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Quality Lab Analyst:

• Exposure to QA investigations.
• Experience using SAP.
• Experience working collaboratively in a professional lab setting.

Education:

• Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related.
