SUMMARY:
Our client, located in the greater Milwaukee area, is a diversified Contract Manufacturing Organization offering wide-ranging manufacturing capabilities and industry-leading R&D services to global customers in the Pharmaceutical, Electronic, Fine and Specialty Chemical industries
The Plant Engineer role is responsible for providing oversight and support to the manufacturing site to allow for the safe and efficient manufacturing of products from scale-up through commercial supply. Will oversee all aspects of the facility including buildings and grounds, utilities, and equipment to ensure they are properly designed and operational in a safe and compliant manner. The Plant Engineer will be the lead person for capital projects at the site and will be the project manager to ensure the project is executed successfully from design, budgeting, procurement, installation, and qualification. The role will also be involved in technical transfers from Research and Development to manufacturing to verify compatibility to equipment required and evaluate process safety hazards.

EXPERIENCE:
- A BS in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of industrial experience
- Must have 3-4+ years of manufacturing experience in specialty/fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals ( API preferred) or closely related industries.
- Experience in a cGMP and FSMS regulated facility a plus.
- Should have experience planning and executing capital projects
- Familiarity with automation ( PLCs, HMIs) and operating control systems ( BAS) a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure equipment is installed properly, in good working order, and equipped appropriately for the intended manufacturing activities
- Monitor all aspects of the facility including buildings and grounds, utilities, and equipment to ensure they are properly designed and operational in a safe and compliant manner
- Manage equipment/system remediation; Design, Budgeting, Procurement, MOC, PHA, Scheduling, Construction management, Commissioning/validation, Equipment file, Turnover package, etc
- Develop and support equipment and system commissioning and validation efforts; Protocol development and/or review, Protocol execution, Final report development and/or review
- Support construction activities; Hot work permit support, Day-to-day technical support, Daily construction meeting support
- Supervise direct ( Engineering and Maintenance) and indirect ( contractors) personnel
- Ensure compliance with cGMP and FSMS guidelines
