We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented researcher to join the Vegetable Pathology Lab. The candidate will be responsible for conducting computational research on vegetable crops. This position will require extensive computational work, data analysis, and writing of manuscripts.

Minimum Experience/Education
- Relevant Master's degree, or Relevant Bachelor's and 3 or more years of relevant experience, relevant independent experience and education
Department Required Skills
- Background and course work in plant pathology, microbiology, plant biology or related field.
- Previous experience in computational analysis (R, SAS, and Geneious), performing pathogen research, analyzing fungicide sensitivity data, plant biology and microbial research including field experience, greenhouse experience, experience with pesticides and their application, growing plants and microbes, taking care of plants and cultures, sterile technique, and storing microbial long-term cultures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Macintosh operating system, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Lasergene suite or similar packages, and Endnote or similar packages
- Experience in entering data, record keeping, ability to search and read scientific literature pertinent to job
- Able to mentor other staff and develop new research protocols
