Compensation: $130-140,000.00year, DOE

Location: Houston, TX

Assignment Duration: Direct Hire

Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours

Responsibilities

Oversee operation of distillation projects and hydrogenation reactors, act as a technical resource for operations personnel, apply technical skills to optimize plant operations, to implement and commission yield improvement and cost saving projects, participate in procedure reviews and development, operator training, and site qualification efforts

Lead the operation of distillation projects and/or hydrogenation reactors

Understand/Learn how equipment associated to the campaign operates

Understand and work with plant utilities

Work with the Operations Director to provide data and chemical engineering support for specific product campaigns

Work closely with Technical Advising and plant personnel to optimize operations and meet plant goals

Work closely with Quality Assurance personnel to ensure that all product specifications are met

Assist the Engineering Department in developing cost-effective projects to optimize production and minimize working capital

Develop procedures for items already in production or to be produced in the future

Prepare and enhance operating instructions

Troubleshoot plant operations when actual operation does not meet the expected operation

Generate reports that detail and summarize a specific campaign effort - reports include mass balances, process data analysis and de-bottlenecking proposals

Develop and maintain campaign specific schedules to meet production demand

Ensure campaigns are running efficiently by working with plant personnel, technical advisors, and data analysis

Actively participate with operators in the field to help identify process and safety improvements

Communicate technical information and issues to plant personnel at all levels within the organization, when needed

Help to optimize the disposition of the waste (water and organics) generated in each project, to improve cost saving

Lead quarterly improvement meetings with Technical Advising personnel for the main projects

Lead pre-campaign meetings prior start-up to discuss all items related to the project execution

This role can be physically demanding and candidate must be capable of taking on a number of physical challenges such as: moving and standing for long periods throughout a 12 hour day; work seated for up to 12 hours; use of ladders, stairs, ramps, etc; lifting and exerting force of up to 25 lbs; subject to extreme heat; and required to wear various PPE

Qualifications

B.S in Engineering

A minimum of 3-7 years work experience in an engineering role

Must be willing to participate in our 24/7 production facility call out policy, when needed

Willing to work on shift for 30 days during 90 day probationary period

Ability to function and communicate with all levels of the organization

Ability to obtain TWIC Card

Honeywell Experion and Microsoft Project experience is a plus
