The postdoctoral associate will conduct research on a pre-specified project as well as ones of their own design and publish that research. The postdoc will take on senior responsibilities like research mentoring, grant writing, and publishing. Primary responsibilities will include management and implementation of tissue engineering studies in the Harbor Lights Laboratory. A research leader with background in biomaterials and cell biology is needed in order to manage coordinate the day-to-day research activities in the laboratory.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
Applicants must have a Ph.D., or equivalent degree, with a background in Bioengineering or Cell Biology, or a related area of science.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Familiarity with biomaterials and cellular engineering; preferred knowledge molecular genetic, biochemical, histological and immunological techniques to examine factors affecting cell behaviors on biomaterial substrates.

Standing/sitting for long periods of time in respect to laboratory work.
