Laboratory Technician II

Pay Rate: $29-$34.21/hour (on W2)

Location: Annandale, NJ 08801 (Onsite)

Contract Length: 12 months

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They're expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

Support/assist the lab supervisors/chemists by performing routine and non-routine laboratory analysis/wet chemistry on product and in-process samples, to support plant operations for the purpose of quality assurance/control.

Perform calibration and maintenance of test equipment.

Prepare samples and ensure accurate data generation and records, in accordance with the standard operating procedures.

Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance/control issues.

Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents, as well as set preparation standards.

Position will receive direction and support.

Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable to the position.

Responsibilities

Perform analytical testing on various samples using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.

Ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical methods

Interpret and report test results, providing insights and recommendations based on findings.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and quality control.

Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Document all procedures, results, and observations in accordance with company policies.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in analytical techniques and industry trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.

Proven experience in analytical testing and research, preferably in a laboratory setting.

Proficiency in using analytical instruments and software.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Skills

Background with lab research/chemistry

Comfortable working with equipment, tools and chemicals

Proficient in Microsoft (especially Excel)

Safety minded

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with LIMS
