Oxygen Systems US supports commercial, military and general aviation life support equipment. The technician would support the testing and characterization of products and materials used in aerospace applications; following industry standards. Products and materials vary from mechanical to chemical materials. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.1.Assemble prototypes and modify production parts for tests.2.Set up laboratory apparatus to perform desired tests per engineering and governmental requirements/instructions.3.Conduct tests and record data.4.Communicate test information via written or verbal reports to responsible engineer.5.Perform lab support functions: equipment calibration and repair, inventory and organization of lab supplies.6.Submit a weekly record of hours spent on each job.7.Perform other support work as required.8.Responsible for evaluating and monitoring the functional performances of new and existing products/materials.Listed above are the ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of this job classification. Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Education -

Required - A.A.S. degree in Mechanical/Engineering technology or High

School diploma and some advanced training in engineering technology.

Preferred - Technician certification in manufacturing/engineering.

Experience -

Required - 1-2 years related work experience. Preferred - 3 years related work experience.

Special Knowledge/Skills -

Required - Basic engineering and mathematics, mechanical aptitude, good planning and organizational skills.

Preferred - Background in chemistry, circuits and data acquisition. Ability to think spatially, spatial visualization. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and LabView
