- Job Description Summary Assumes responsibility and accountability for laboratory operations within a Sentara facility. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Analyzes patient data and suggests physician protocol for confirming patient diagnosis; acts as a consultant to pathologists, physicians, and other team members; identifies needs and implements training to ensure laboratory staff competency.
- Job Description Coordinates the development and implementation of new lab services within the Sentara facility. Contributes to the organization's success by achieving system, hospital, and departmental goals and objectives. Sets strategically aligned goals for the team- develop staff and intentional successors. Uses effective stragety and applies appropriate leadership style to facilitate change. Has a strong understanding of the business operation and demonstrates acumen. A bachelor's Degree in the Sciences is acceptable. Education, knowledge, and certification must be received within the specific department discipline to which one applies.
