Laboratory Manager

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED ON-SITE IN PROVO, UTAH

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytical Lab Manager to oversee the operations of our contract analytical laboratory. This position is responsible for ensuring the lab runs efficiently, meets quality standards, and delivers accurate, timely results to clients. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, technical and organizational skills with a proven background in analytical chemistry or related field.

What you'll do:

• Manage daily lab operations including staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource planning.
• Supervise and mentor a team of analysts and technicians.
• Ensure all analyses are performed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP's) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, GLP, Iso standards)
• Oversee trouble shooting of analytical procedures and Out-of-specification investigations.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
• Coordinate with clients to ensure their projects' needs and deadlines are met
• Maintain lab documentation, quality systems, and data integrity practices.
• Manage equipment calibration maintenance and vendor interaction.

What you'll need:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.
• *5+ years of experience in an analytical laboratory environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC. ICP-MS, UV-Vis, etc.
• Strong knowledge of quality and regulatory guidelines (FDA, ISO, Etc.)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
