Stryker is looking for a highly-driven engineer eager to contribute to designing and implementing large-scale software systems for the medical industry. In this role you will be working with teams who are architecting the next generation of connected hospitals and delivering could-based software systems that integrate and manage a wide variety of devices and data while operating with high reliability, safety, and security.

This role is hybrid, with the expectation to be in office 3 days a week in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

What you will do:
  • Design, develop, modify, evaluate and verify software components for medical devices

  • Provide technical solutions leveraging new platforms in the cloud

  • Apply robust design principles to create solutions that are scalable, reliable, and secure

  • Support your team to ensure on time delivery and utmost quality

  • Interpret customer needs and understands design inputs

  • Support multi-disciplinary teams across the entire product lifecycle from concept to delivery.

  • Collaborate with seasoned architects and team up to propose new intellectual property

  • Demonstrate ownership and integrity of work


What you need:

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelors degree in software engineering, computer science or related discipline

  • 0+ years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in software design and execution

  • Ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts and technologies

  • Understanding of software testing concepts and best practices

  • Strong team player comfortable working with geographically distributed and cross functional teams

  • Strong troubleshooting, communications, and documentation skills

  • Proactive in the face of ambiguous requirements; unafraid to explore new ideas and ask questions

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Angular and Kotlin is an advantage
