JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description: Design and maintain standards expertise,policies, procedures, and manuals for Supplier Quality on thedetermination of new supply sources, supplier quality relations,standardization of measurements, and acceptable criteria of materials.Compile supplier performance KPI metrics and participate in supplierscorecard development. Ensures suppliers meet requirements. Developsupplier to meet these requirements as needed. Supports the Sourcingteam in the selection and quality of potential suppliers and Support NPD(New Product Development) projects. Interfaces with personnel frommultiple plants to resolve chronic or major supplier issues and verifythat suppliers understand process/product requirements. Implements andmaintains quality improvement and auditing systems with suppliersfocusing on process controls, quality control, quality management andquality systems. Review engineering specifications and drawings todetermine suppliers\' abilities to meet parameters and reviews new andmodified product designs from a material standpoint advisingmodifications when necessary. Reviews and approves Suppliers PPAP\'s;review and audit the deliverables including: Control Plans, CapabilityStudies, Part layouts, Gage R&R, PFEMA, and support or lead projectmanagement efforts regarding supplier changes. Involve suppliers,internal resources, plant personnel to drive containment and closed-loopclosure to significant quality issue. Ensure that Supplier qualityissues are resolved using an appropriate problem-solving methodologylike; Root Cause, 8D and decision matrices. Licenses/Certificates: Six Sigma Green or Black Belt orCertified Quality Engineer preferred. Technology/Equipment: Previousexperience as an auditor for ISO 9001/TS 16949 or VDA Quality Systems,required.
