Job#: 2072965 Job Description: Required Skills: Hands-on experience with Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.) Data entry via a web interface Ability to transfer data from lab notebooks into an online Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Motivated, organized, and disciplined with excellent record-keeping skills and superb attention to detail Biology background (understanding terms and methods used in synthetic biology, molecular biology, microbiology, imaging, and structural biology) Familiarity with documentation systems (e.g., lab notebooks) Desired Skills: Hands-on experience in synthetic biology, molecular biology, microbiology, imaging, or structural biology laboratory Administrative Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Excellent computer aptitude, including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software High degree of personal integrity, ability to multi-task, hygiene-oriented, quality and safety conscious Comfortable working independently and within a team environment Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail Takes responsibility for management of research laboratory including inventory control, equipment maintenance, supply management, and general care for the laboratory environment Consistently delivers quality results on time Ability to learn new technologies, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with institutional policies Work Schedule: Employees are expected to work a standard 40-hour week on-site Educational Qualifications and Experience: BS degree, familiarity with molecular biology, microbiology, or synthetic biology Experience with Office 365 applications Effective communication as part of a team and ability to work independently without direct supervision Ability to multitask and prioritize complex tasks to meet deadlines EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
