Scientist (PHD - Cell Culture)

Scientist Location: South San Franciso CA - 100% Onsite Duration: 12 Months with possible extension Terms: Contract w2 100% onsite Lab-based South San Francisco. No relocation Duration: 1-year contract Working Hours: Standard 8 AM - 5 PM; flexibility based on experimental needs The ideal candidate # PhD with at least 2 years of relevant hands-on research experience or a Master's degree with 2-4 years of post-graduate industry or academic lab experience. # They must be proficient in cell-based assays and pathway-dependent assays, with additional experience in ex vivo, in vitro, and molecular biology techniques. # Candidates with immunology or biochemical assay backgrounds are strongly preferred. # Strong data presentation skills, scientific rigor, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced lab environment are essential. Top Skills: # Ph.D. or Master's with 2 plus years of industry experience # Expertise in primary cell culture and relevant techniques # Expertise in mammalian cell biology techniques, cellular functional assays, ex-vivo assays, flow cytometry as well as various transfection and transduction techniques # Expertise in protein interaction techniques # Expertise in molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, cloning, Western blotting and ELISA # Strong publication record preferred Red Flags: # Too long experience will be over qualified # Lack of hands-on cell-based assay experience
