2nd Shift QC Chemist

Kelly Science is seeking a QC Chemist for a company located in Fairfax, VT.

Pay : $25-30/hour ($1.50/hour shift differential for 2nd Shift)

Shift: Tuesday -Saturday 4:30pm-12:30am

Employment Type: Full Time

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct analyses of raw and finished samples, demonstrating expertise in a range of chromatographic methods (HPLC, GC, ICAP-AES, FT-IR).Analytical Standards Preparation: Set up and maintain calibration by accurately identifying, weighing, and diluting stock materials.
  
• Precisely identify and weigh samples for processing with analytical methods.
  
• Conduct sample dilution, add reagents, and process samples using incubators, shakers, centrifuges, evaporators, etc.
  
• Perform liquid-liquid and solid-phase extraction techniques.
  
• Prepare laboratory reagents such as buffers and mobile phases.
  
• Configure and operate instruments routinely.
  
• Maintain cleanliness of materials after analysis.
  
• Log samples into LIMS and calculate analysis results.
  
• Conduct basic investigations when out-of-specification (OOS) results occur.

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in chemistry or a scientific related field
  
• 2-3 years of experience within analytical chemistry strongly preferred
  
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and Nutritional requirements.
  
• Previous experience utilizing HPLC, GC or FTIR strongly preferred.
