Chemical Engineer

Title: Chemical Engineer
Type: 6 months
Location: Alvin, TX
Pay Rate: $60/hr

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain key process indicators (KPIs) and key operating parameters (KOPs); set targets for short interval controls (SICs)
• Troubleshoot and optimize the process to address gaps identified through performance monitoring
• Optimize the current process using operational entitlement models
• Implement advanced performance tracking tools
• Execute annual productivity plans wildly important goals (WIGS)
• Accounting and categorization of daily production losses
• Lead or participate in root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
• Challenge and manage job scope for outages and turnarounds specialist
• Participate in PHAs
• Support safety as a Hazard Recognition Plus Coach

Skills:

• BS or MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• 5 - 10 years of experience desired
• Chemical plant experience required
