Job Title: Principal Scientist I
Location : Cambridge, MA
About the Job
Are you ready to shape the future of medicine? The race is on to speed up drug discovery and development to find answers for patients and their families. Your skills could be critical in helping our teams accelerate progress.
Sanofi Oncology Therapeutic Area is seeking an experienced computational biologist/bioinformatician to join our team with a focus on reprogramming the tumor microenvironment and immune system to treat tumors. This hands-on role will analyze patient datasets including bulk RNAseq, single cell RNAseq/CITEseq, and flow cytometry to identify cell types, signaling pathways and targets for overcoming immunosuppression.
In this role, you will work as an integral part of project teams in research and development to identify targets, understand compound activities, and develop and test actionable biomarker strategies for programs in immuno-oncology. You will analyze patient genomic and transcriptomic data from internal studies, collaborations, and public sources to identify mechanisms and targets for novel immune-based, anti-cancer therapies. You will design, interpret, and analyze bulk and single cell NGS profiling experiments to characterize drug mechanism of action and identify biomarkers. You will be responsible for presenting your work internally in project teams and larger-scale forums and externally in scientific publications and presentations. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment with colleagues across disciplines is critical. This position is based within the Immuno-Oncology Cell Therapy Cluster in Cambridge, MA.
