We are seeking an individual with attention to detail to join our quality control division.
Follows GMP, Quality and safety practices.
Tests products for temperatures throughout production
Visually inspects products at various stages of production
Selects products for overall quality
Visually inspects products at various stages of production
Selects products for overall quality
Visually inspects packages for proper dates, codes, seals, and gas mixtures
Verifies correct net weight of product
Observes employees to ensure they are following good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
Observes employees to ensure they are following HACCP critical control points
Records relevant information on food tags
Reviews hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP) records for critical control points as it relates to how the product is cooked
Qualifications:
High school diploma; college degree preferred
Experience in Quality Control or Assurance preferred
Understanding of OSHA and/or USDA desired
Experience in a food -meat production facility a plus
Must be able to work in a Safety Sensitive Position.
Food or meat science education a plus
Must be able to work in a safety sensitive position
Use of Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum Requirements
Follow safe work processes
Interacts with supervisors and co-workers regarding findings and recommendations
Works in cold environment (about 30 degrees)
Use of both hands
Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing of stairs
Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, and laboratory equipment.
Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and laboratory results.
Requires lifting to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation).
Requires exposure to machines, chemicals, and solvents.
