JOB SUMMARY:
This is an entry level position reporting to the Site Quality Manager to perform tasks related to evaluating and approving or rejecting incoming materials and manufactured products according to system specifications and customer requirements. The expectations of the position are to follow all safety protocols and provide support to the site receiving, production, warehousing, shipping, and customer service functions as needed.

b. Perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others.
c. Respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor.
Key Responsibility:
- At shift startup, procure cost sheet and Q.C. standard sample for all products scheduled for production in area of daily assignment to include all shifts.
- Prior to production, verify preprinted and/or labeled cartons per specifications on cost sheets.
- Prior to production, will verify labels are correct and current issue/revision. Any discrepancies will be verified using the Label Standard File.
- Inspect & record results for incoming components used for production.
- Perform required (start-up & hourly) line checks, make approvals, alert Line leads and Quality supervisor/manager of non-conforming results or observations. Upon line startup and after first 25 cans run and at least hourly thereafter, will test for spray rate, evacuation, pressure at 70 F on each gasser head and pressure at 130 F on each gasser head.
- Will take and verify retain samples against Q.C. standard sample.
- Record results in SAP QM Inspection lots.
- Will check chemical purity after normal break periods.
- Will verify compliance with all times listed on the cost sheet.
- Will audit at least one (1) carton per finished pallet for compliance with Mil. Std. 105-D for cleanliness, label application, glue on caps, correct components, glue seal on top and bottom of box and correct box printing and coding.
- Evaluate correct pallet size, staking pattern, packaging appearance, integrity, and labeling.
- Will ensure each inventory tag is correctly filled out.
- Will check final product for compliance with Mil. Std. 105-D.
- Will approve all finished products by affixing Q.C. sticker to inventory tag.
- Will complete and provide any documentation required by customer.
- Must have working knowledge of various weights and measures.
- Will complete any documents or recordkeeping requirements as determined by management.
- Must possess ability to perform math computations of manufacturer's specifications.
- Will immediately report any defects, deficiencies or problems to the operator, shift supervisor and/or Q.C. technician/supervisor.
- Will have authority to stop production where out of control or substandard production exists until same can be corrected.
- Will lift and handle various components, finished goods, etc. up to 50 pounds.
- Will keep work area neat and clean and work in a safe manner observing all company rules.
- May assist other inspectors or work in other areas and jobs as determined by management.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Minimum High School Degree
- Ability to work in fast paced high-volume production environment
- Must possess ability to perform math computations of manufacturer's specifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Ability to stand 8-12 hours
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $35,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $46,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
