Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated R D Chemist to join our Research and Development team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, with experience in material formulation, product development, and laboratory testing.
This role will involve developing and optimizing chemical formulations for new products, improving existing formulations, conducting experiments, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet quality standards and performance goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize chemical formulations for new products, improving existing formulations to enhance product performance, stability, and cost-efficiency.
Conduct laboratory experiments to test and evaluate the properties of materials, chemical reactions, and product prototypes. Analyze data and provide recommendations for further development.
Design and execute test protocols to assess the quality, functionality, and safety of products. Monitor and document results, troubleshooting issues as needed to meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with product development teams to improve product performance and manufacturing processes. Utilize chemistry expertise to address challenges related to product consistency, durability, and scalability.
Partner with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth integration of new formulations into the manufacturing process. Provide technical support for product trials and scaling up production.
Develop and improve chemical processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and increase yields. Ensure that chemical formulations are compatible with production equipment and scalable for large-scale manufacturing.
Ensure all formulations and processes meet relevant regulatory and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, FDA) and contribute to maintaining quality certifications (e.g., ISO, GMP).
Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental work, including formulation data, testing results, and compliance documentation. Prepare reports, presentations, and other technical documentation as needed.
Stay informed of the latest developments in chemistry and materials science, applying new knowledge to enhance existing products and processes. Contribute ideas for product and process innovations.
Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves; all PPE provided by SafeSource Direct)
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field., or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in an R D or laboratory setting, with a focus on product formulation, materials science, or chemical engineering.
Experience in formulating and testing chemical products or materials in industries such as manufacturing, consumer goods, or pharmaceuticals is preferred.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment, analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, spectroscopy), and data analysis software is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Strong understanding of chemical principles, material science, and laboratory testing methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
Ability to work with minimal supervision while being an effective team player.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and present technical findings clearly.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
