Are you looking for a collaborative analytical chemistry role that allows you to support GSKs pre-clinical pipeline? If so, this role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As Associate Scientist/Sr. Associate Scientist, Analytical Chemistry, you and your team will play an important role in the analysis and quality control of GSKs preclinical pipeline. You will maintain and troubleshoot analytical equipment and execute diverse analytical methods for small molecules and oligonucleotides to help accelerate GSKs pipeline and platform technology ambitions.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for analysis

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality control standards

  • Prepare sample/standard solutions and chemical solutions

  • Operate analytical methods, including UV-Vis spectrophotometry, LC, and LC/MS.

  • Interpret and tabulate analytical results

  • Collaborate internally with members of other functional groups

  • Assist senior chemists with method development and validation activities as needed.

  • Support analytical investigations, including root cause analysis, in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • BS with 3+ years or MS with 1+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with analytical instrument maintenance and upkeep.

  • Experience with method development, validation and troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with modern mass spectrometry methodology and data analysis

  • Experience with quantitative pipetting techniques

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience with high-throughput assays and data analysis

  • Experience with oligonucleotide characterization or analysis.

  • Background in medicinal chemistry principles and techniques.

  • Familiarity with ELN and LIMS software.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
