Quality Control Specialist 3rd shift

Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist 1

Essential Function

This job is responsible for the process of cycle counting product for the purpose of keeping the integrity of the perpetual inventory. This job is entry level.

Primary Duties

Accurately counts SKU's in file. Maintains supply and inventory levels for product.

Performs data entry of counts in cycle count system.

Reviews/researchs count discrepancies and makes corrections based on established guidelines.

Creates cycle count files and makes recommendations to improve inventory accuracy.

Files completed count paperwork and prepares reports.

Maintains a safe work environment, performs job functions safely and reports any potential job hazards to management. Maintains good housekeeping practices in assigned areas.

Maintains productivity assigned standards.

Performs all other duties as requested by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous employment in a physical inventory capacity, or another inventory related environment preferred
• Computer, machine operator, warehouse management system knowledge, a plus
• Requires good mathematical competency

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts, which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines; with irritant chemicals; etc. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, gowns, coats, boots, goggles, gloves or shields.

The position requires some physical exertion such a long periods of standing, walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above average agility and dexterity.
