Chemistry Lab Technician

The Laboratory Technician performs a variety of routine and non-routine laboratory tests to support material and process characterizations, technical service requests, and root cause investigations.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment, capable of problem-solving independently, and committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe lab environment. The ideal candidate will have solid communication skills and a strong collaborative mindset.

• Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests and analyses, ranging from simple to complex.
  
• Execute application and laboratory test plans for material and process characterizations.
  
• Support root cause investigations and technical service requests.
  
• Document lab work accurately and provide regular status updates to requestors.
  
• Manage assigned lab equipment, supplies, and materials, including shipping and receiving.
  
• Conduct preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  
• Maintain lab cleanliness and contribute to 5S and standardization initiatives.
  
• Practice safe work habits and comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  
• Support quality improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
  
• Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers.

• Education: HS diploma required, Associates degree preferred
  
• Completion of science-related classes preferred.
  
• Hands-on laboratory skills.
  
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• Attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills.
  
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and repetitive tasks.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Shift: 1st Shift
  
• Pay Rate: $2125/hour (based on education & experience)
