Research and Development Chemist

A prominent manufacturing coompany in the Baltimore area is seeking an R&D Chemist/Laboratory Technician for their R&D lab. The lab is located inside of the manufacturing plant. The Chemist will conduct wet chemical laboratory activities in support of research and development efforts and production support. The Chemist will also work with chemical suppliers to validate product quality, and develop new product lines. This rolel will work on product quality also. This is a direct-hire, salaried role in the $65K+ salary range!

responsibilities:
- Conduct wet chemical laboratory activities in support of research and development efforts and production support.

- Work with chemical suppliers to validate product quality, and develop new product lines.

- Assist in large-scale production through understanding of the mechanical and technical aspects of manufacturing.

- Develop and understanding of the mechanical and technical aspects of manufacturing tosupport production.

- Perform routine chemical inventory for research and development lab.

- Troubleshoot production variability and optimize formulations through iterative laboratory-scale

testing and evaluation.
