Objective
Responsible for conducting tests and analyzing stability samples, ensuring compliance with guidelines and specifications. The technician will perform basic chemical tests including color, odor, appearance, pH, conductivity, specific gravity, and viscosity, along with additional duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
Analyze stability data for OTC and Cosmetic products, testing parameters such as color, odor, appearance, etc., according to specified test methods and product specifications.
Monitor and record stability chambers and hydrometers daily to ensure compliance with standards.
Test and release incoming raw materials according to established specifications.
Conduct root cause investigations for product deviations or non-compliance.
Create, review, and update product specifications for bulk, raw materials, and finished goods.
Perform DI Water testing on a weekly basis.
Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and data.
Operate laboratory equipment such as pH meters, balance scales, and viscometers.
Complete testing in a timely manner to meet production deadlines.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Competencies
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong mathematical skills.
Experience with stability testing in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or nutritional industries preferred.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible and adaptable to process changes that improve company operations.
Willingness to work overtime or weekends as required.
2-3 years of related experience.
Exceptional attention to detail.

Laboratory environment with standard laboratory conditions.
Occasional exposure to noise and chemicals.
Pay Range
$24 to $27 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).
Additional $0.50 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift.
