- Review profiles submitted by sales and customer service to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct regulatory reviews of EPA, DOT, and State designations.
- Ensure waste material is acceptable within Part B permit limitations and seek alternative treatment options if necessary.
- Obtain approved outbound profiles to ultimate disposal sites.
- Evaluate waste streams for cost-effective treatment options or customer-requested options.
- Actively pursue recycling options for traditional streams.
- Assess the best method for handling delivered waste, considering treatment, labor, material, equipment, and transportation costs.
- Determine final assignment of process codes through supervision of lab personnel.
- Maintain transportation and disposal costing files.
- Ensure accurate and complete disposal logs.
- Participate actively in sales meetings.
- Nurture working relationships between sales and operations.
- Pursue and evaluate new treatment facilities and technologies for potential cost reductions and sustainability.
- Assist in training technicians and lab personnel on price points and process codes.
- Work with the laboratory to convey analytical changes and ensure timely sample processing.
- Audit shipments routinely for routing compliance and load optimization.
- Verify and compare actual transportation and disposal costs monthly.
- Participate in national, regional, and local bids, assisting with coding, costing, and presenting winning strategies.
- Collaborate with the shipping department to schedule and optimize outbound loads.
- Work with the Central Profile Group to approve and route waste in the operating system.
- Collaborate with FPA and operations.
- Knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous chemicals.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations.
- Experience in inventory management.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Biology with a focus in Chemistry.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of EPA, DOT, and state regulations.
- Materials management and waste analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience using Inventory Management Systems
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $39.50/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
