Food Scientist Entry Level

Required:

• Bachelors is required.
• 02-year experience required.
• Co-op, internship experience is a good fit.
• Preferred education or experience in Food Science or some Life Science.
• Will consider candidates with other Science, Engineering, and Math degrees with Previous food industry (nutrition, safety) or Pharma background.

Duties:

• Will work with suppliers to confirm their food safety certifications yearly for regulatory.
• Log and track supplier documentation for compliance.
• Quality agreements.
• Supplier change notices (assess these for review and approval).
• Supplier communication.

Skills:

• MS Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• This role requires excellent analytical skills (understand quality protocols and resolve quality issues)
• Previous quality background preferred.
• Previous food industry (nutrition, safety) or Pharma background is preferred
• Power BI (good to have but not required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay Range:

• $22-23.50/hr
