Job Description This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S.
We are seeking an exceptional Principal Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across multiple onshore and offshore scrum teams. This senior-level position requires deep expertise in .NET development, software architecture, and a proven track record of implementing engineering best practices at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across multiple scrum teams
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable software architectures
- Lead the adoption of Domain-Driven Design and Clean Architecture principles across projects
- Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges across teams
- Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in architectural decision-making at the organizational level
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- 12+ years of professional software development experience
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex software architectures
- Deep understanding of Domain-Driven Design and Clean Architecture principles and practices
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and SOLID principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Cloud DevOps practices
- Excellent code review skills with attention to quality, performance, and security
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with event-driven architectures
- Understanding of functional programming principles
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
