Akkodis is seeking a Scientist for a Contract job with a client in Swiftwater, PA. Responsibilities include executing small-scale experiments with eggs and flu virus, and running hemagglutination testing, SDS-PAGE, chromatography, and PCR.
Rate Range: $49/hour to $52/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Scientist job responsibilities include:
Support the production of high-growing flu virus reassortants, flu reference antigen, and antisera.
Run hemagglutination testing, SDS-PAGE, chromatography, and PCR.
Order and maintain supplies and materials, and ship materials as needed.
Work with outside vendors and ship biological samples for sequencing.
Write internal development protocols and reports related to the project.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in science or biology.
At least 1 year of laboratory experience.
Experience with running hemagglutination testing, SDS-PAGE, chromatography, and PCR.
Ability to work with eggs and flu virus in a laboratory setting.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $52.00 per hour
