We're seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Process Development Engineer to play a critical role in the design and development of precision-stampedponents within our client's New Product Development (NPD) team. In this leadership role, you'll guide project teams throughplex product and process development initiatives, ensuring optimized manufacturing solutions and seamless integration of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles. This position has a strong emphasis on stamping technologies and delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet demanding customer specifications.
Sr. Process Development Engineer Responsibilities:
Lead the research, conceptualization, and prototyping of new products and manufacturing processes aligned with customer performance and quality expectations.
Champion DFM strategies and advanced engineering practices, including finite element analysis (FEA), to support robust and manufacturable product designs.
Provide hands-on support and mentorship to the prototype tooling team, ensuring technical challenges are resolved effectively and efficiently.
Manage development timelines and coordinate closely with internal teams to meet key project milestones and deliverymitments.
deep product knowledge in specialized markets such as neuro, cardiac rhythm management (CRM), and surgical devices to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
Remain agile and adaptable to shifting priorities based on evolving customer demands and business objectives.
Lead the selection and onboarding of new vendors, equipment, and technologies to advance manufacturing capabilities and drive operational excellence.
Oversee the installation, validation, and training processes for new equipment and tooling systems.
Define and implement product and process testing protocols to ensure performance standards and regulatorypliance.
Serve as the primary technical liaison for customer programs, ensuring successful project oues through effective cross-functional collaboration.
Sr. Process Development Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, with expertise in cutting-edge production technologies and cost reduction strategies.
3+ years of experience working with progressive stamping
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and working under tight deadlines.
Prior experience developing precision cases, housings, and implantableponents is highly desirable.
Demonstrated track record of successfully leading process development initiatives and introducing new manufacturing technologies.
