Non-Woven Material/Chemical Engineer - MMF

Role and Responsibilities:
Conduct research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes.
Follow established Design Control procedures in developing new products and improvements to existing products.
Develop processes for separating and combining components to improve existing and produce new products.
Design and plan the layout of equipment and manufacturing processes.
Conduct tests and monitor the performance of processes throughout production.
Knowledge of ASTM standards and PSTC methods to support product testing when required.
Identify, and utilize new raw materials and processes for continuous improvement and product development.
Perform root cause analysis to identify problems with manufacturing processes and product failures.
Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Estimate production costs for management and propose cost savings through formulary or process modification.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related experience
Previous experience working in a Non-woven or Chemical manufacturing plant strongly preferred.
Continuous improvement/innovation mindset
R D experience a plus
Must pass pre-employment drug and physical requirements.
Preferred Skills:
General knowledge of polymer chemistry and non-woven formation process
Project Management experience required (PMP is a plus)
Knowledge in statistical methods and programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of multiple languages a plus
Strong Organizational and prioritization skills
