Weekend Schedule ( Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon) 6am- 4:30pm
The Chemist I role performs testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediate and bulk products to determine identity, purity, quality, strength and composition. Supports peer data review and investigational testing as needed. Once qualified, can perform assigned test methods independently with limited oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:
Performs physical, chemical and instrumental testing as assigned on raw materials, bulk and finished products in support of QC release.
Performs physical testing techniques such as density, specific gravity, LOD, particle size, tablet or fill weight, and similar.
Performs chemical testing techniques such as titration, FT-NIR, Raman, moisture, dissolution, UV and similar.
Performs instrumental analytical testing techniques as qualified and assigned such as GC, HPLC, ICP-OES, ICP-MS and similar.
Accurate, legible, and timely records of analytical and physical testing; both manually and with the use of a computer.
Recognition of aberrant data and timely communication to lab management.

Capabilities & Skills Required
In order to take on these challenges, youll need to have:
A four year degree or its equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Physics, or related science.
Experience with common laboratory equipment, or demonstrated facility with similar types of instrumentation.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information accurately and quickly.

The salary range for this position is $52 ,000.00 - $ 84,000.00 .
Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment . Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.
Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employees supervisor.
