Job Description
  • Maintaining inventories
  • Preparing solutions and buffers
  • Performing routine analytical measurements such as pH, UV-VIS, conductivity, HPLC
  • Column packing
  • Tangential flow filtration
  • Adhering to Good Documentation Practices
  • Maintenance of a clean and safe working environment
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills will be necessary to interface with multiple clients at the same time.
  • Experience working with protein solutions, protein chromatography, normal flow filtration, and tangential flow filtration Familiarity with Microsoft Office software. Experience with protein Separation techniques Prior use of liquid handling systems plate-based systems, HPLC instrumentation, and EMPOWER software
  • Use of electronic notebook system Familiarity with UNICORN-based chromatography systems (GE AKTA Explorer or Avant), preparative column packing, microfiltration, nanofiltration, CE, SDS-PAGE, and other analytical techniques.
  • Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
  • Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
  • Prepare and review job plans, conduct semiannual performance reviews, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growth
  • Collaborate closely with leaders and clients in implementing overall business directives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in a related major)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, selfmotivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • Leadership experience
  • 4+ years related lab experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience interacting with people from a wide range of skill levels and experience
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and possess self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, result-driven and highly flexible team-player in a fast-paced working environment
