The Measurement Sciences (MS) Analytical Technical Associate Scientist is part of Measurement Sciences and reports into our Measurement Sciences Analytical Technical Sr. Manager based in Plano, TX. The role supports North America beverage testing programs which is integral in support of production, innovation, troubleshooting, and quality monitoring for new and existing beverage products. The position is based in Plano, TX.
You will provide laboratory testing support, data analyses, and technical recommendations to the business and perform lab analyses to evaluate the quality of beverages produced at North American manufacturing plants. This includes market (trade) samples, innovation, and troubleshooting. Additional responsibilities include assisting in other routine chemistry testing, instrumental analysis, and communicating/ collaborating with SC FSQ, PD, FSQA, and Supply Chain for product management. In addition, you will participate in technical projects that require scientific evaluation, develop/ deliver analytical training, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities- Complete and report lab analyses for all trade, innovation, and troubleshooting for NA beverage samples using titration systems and other test equipment
- Provide testing support for NA plant water troubleshooting testing using IC, GCMS P&T, and other test equipment. This includes sample management, reporting results, and managing stakeholder expectations
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key NA stakeholders
- Maintains analytical instruments through scheduled PMs and troubleshooting with vendors as needed
- Develop/ maintain/ circulate data reports to NA stakeholders
- Provide support for data analysis
- Support laboratory for relevant instrument issues, troubleshooting, installations, qualifications, method development, vendor communication, and proficiency
- Collaborate/conduct/lead special testing projects to optimize testing process and/ or validate methods
- Responsible for training new technicians/ contractors on relevant equipment
- Communicate and collaborate with external vendors to optimize and troubleshoot instruments
- Collaborate across the Measurement Sciences global laboratory team to ensure alignment and consistency across processes and practices
- Makes recommendations on CAPEX purchases
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $64,300- $107,50

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or related discipline with 3+ years in a laboratory environment
- Knowledge & experience operating physio-analytical equipment (titration systems, GC, IC, etc.) and providing recommendations based on the data
- Understanding of product specifications and how to assess compared to test results

- Strong technical/ analytical skills to interpret and analyze complex data effectively
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively in a timely manner in presentations and emails
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Advanced critical thinking skills required to determine various potential technical solutions and solve technical problems utilizing standard research methodology
