Job Description

The In Plant Lab Chemist will conduct routine testing using various chemistry techniques and equipment on samples from the API Lab group. This group employs a wide range of techniques to test in-process products made for both our products and those of our customers. Techniques include UV-VIS, LOD, pH, and physical testing. Daily huddle or gemba meetings will provide direction on necessary testing and any required assistance. Tests and equipment operation will only be performed once fully trained.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine testing using UV-VIS, LOD, pH, and physical testing techniques.
  • Participate in daily huddle or gemba meetings to receive testing directions.
  • Ensure all tests and equipment operations are performed only after full training.
  • Test in-process products for both internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily goals.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in LC, HPLC, and High Pressure Liquid Chromatography.
  • Strong understanding of chemistry and laboratory practices.
  • Experience with FDA quality testing and control.
  • Knowledge of GMP and GLP standards.
  • Degree in a Life Science discipline.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in pharmaceutical environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members.
Work Environment

The position is based in a standard lab environment regulated by cGMP and FDA standards. The team consists of a mix of new hires and experienced personnel, requiring the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at different levels. The role involves working in the API Lab with turnaround times of 2 to 24 hours for samples from manufacturing. The environment supports individual contributions within a team setting, with daily meetings to discuss goals and tasks. Initial training involves shadowing and supervised testing until competency is demonstrated, leading to independent work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
