Quality Control Technician

We seek a Quality Technician to work directly with our customer sites and installation teams to ensure quality standards are adhered to in all aspects of installations while acting as a catalyst for continuous improvement in our products and systems. This role will interface with install partners, equipment suppliers, sub-tiers, engineering, program team, and sourcing to drive high levels of quality and field reliability in critical sub-systems and components. This position will require both a collaborative nature and ability to influence across organizational lanes. They will train you up on what is needed to be done. Safety training Going through documentation and drawings and shadowing Sample day to day: First 10% of day is spent on meetings, updating the company on where your site is at in terms of quality control phases and roadblocks Majority of day spent onsite at the distribution center validating things like: Validate install quality for transfer decks/lift cells/adapter cells Checks are done before power is applied Static checks, spacing is correct, etc. Are cables dressed are cables loose (mechanical components*) Are the structures bolted down properly? If issues are found, this person will then be responsible for ensuring the proper teams come out to fix these issues in a certain timeframe. Final 10% of day will be spent on documentation, preparing for the next morning. Skills manufacturing quality, SOP, SOW, project management, Install, cat5, cat6 Top Skills Details manufacturing quality,SOP,SOW,project management Additional Skills & Qualifications Accredited (2) or (3) year Technical or Engineering Technology diploma or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (12) years if there is no accreditation. Eight (8) years of quality assurance/quality control work experience Work experience in heavy industrial construction projects. Multi-discipline work experience within the EPC industry Familiarity with material handling equipment required. Experience working in or with Engineering, Quality, Development Engineering, and Manufacturing. Strong hands-on project management and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to consistently establish and meet aggressive timelines. Ability to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships. Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment. Analytical problem-solving skills. Tenacity to getting things done and not accepting the norm, being adaptable to constantly changing situations. Demonstrated experience at influencing and driving corrective action with large global suppliers. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence others. Able to work effectively with global, cross-functional stakeholders. Experience Level Entry Level
