This position collaborates with various teams to develop, optimize, and run biological assays, evaluates new technologies, maintains expertise in assay techniques, performs data analysis, and effectively communicates results to support research goals.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
With some guidance, collaborates with project, platform, and pathway teams to develop and optimize biological assays critical to research programs across the organization
Works closely and collaboratively with different teams to simultaneously support multiple projects when required
Runs, analyzes, and iteratively makes improvements to core and novel assays with minimal supervision
With support, evaluates new technologies aimed at expanding DP capabilities
Establishes expertise on assay techniques and development, including operation of required instrumentation, including but not exclusive to: ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, protein-protein interaction and affinity measurements via SPR, FACS, cell culture
Performs data analyses and maintains compliance with good record keeping (ELN)
Supports research teams by contributing data that achieves team goals
Ability to analyze and synthesize data and communicate results within DP and to research teams being supported by their efforts
Qualifications/Skills:
MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related field; or a BS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience
Experience with molecular biology and assay techniques including protein detection and interaction measurements (ELISA, MSD, etc), SPR-based or similar molecular affinity measurement, FACS measurement and analysis, immunostaining, cell culture, protein
quantification
Expertise with standard text, graphic, and presentation software is required, and familiarity with database/data archival software systems is helpful
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Desire to work collaboratively across multiple projects
Salary Range: $100,000.00 to $126,667.00 . Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
