Qc Chemist I

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform and/or assist with analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Utilize analytical laboratory instrumentation with supervision.
• Comply with cGMP regulations and follow all standard operating procedures.
• Document activities and check documentation of other laboratory personnel.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation within level of experience.
• Process & analyze data according to established procedures
• Perform and/or assist with equipment calibrations.
• Other related duties as required.
• Assist in the investigation of aberrant results, assist in investigations of anomalous or out of specification results provide written summary reports of such investigations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 4-year degree in chemistry or related discipline.
• 2+ years' experience in a chemistry laboratory; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years' experience with analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-VIS, and dissolution apparatus.
• Adherence to follow standard operating procedures (cGMP's, SOP's, and DOP's).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; attention to detail.
• Able to organize, prioritize and perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in MS Office suite of programs (Excel, Office, Outlook, Power-point, etc).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with co-workers and build rapport with other departments.
• Able to lift and move up to 20 pounds occasionally throughout the day.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
