Job Description
Eurofins CEI, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The Analyst will use phase contrast microscopes (PCM) for mold analysis.
The Mold Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples according to scientific methodology in compliance with company Quality Assurance programs and SOP's. The analyst also validates and reviews data for accuracy, and uploads laboratory data into the LIMS that ultimately generates required reports to clients.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Regular attendance and punctuality
Organize and record samples
Data entry into LIMS
Prepare fungi and PCM samples for analysis
Analysis of non-culturable surface and air samples for fungi
Analysis of air samples using PCM for asbestos and other fibers
Maintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping
Phone and email correspondence with clients
Assist with customer services when needed
Data entry of QC activities in departments
Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):
Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, geology, or similar science
Strong computer, organizational and problem-solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude in a fast paced working environment.
Additional Information
Requirements:
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
Position is full-time Monday - Friday day shift. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Fort Mill, SC are encouraged to apply.
Pay range: $18-20/hr.
Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
