You willparticipate in the full life cycle of these systems from early concepts toproduct prototypes to qualified and deployed flight hardware. This role isdeeply interdisciplinary and requires coordination among a diverse group ofinternal stakeholders, adjacent integrated product teams, and suppliers.Your contributions will enable flight of state-of-the-art aerospace vehiclesanWe are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadershipskills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe humanspaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Collaborate in the development of cameraand optical sensor hardware forguidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) and crewed lander subsystemsDesign of imaging optics, image quality analysis, tolerance analysis,and stray-light analysis for both visible and long wave infrared (LWIR)systemsSupport the design, fabrication, test, and characterization of prototypehardwareContribute or lead procurement, vendor coordination, delivery,acceptance, installation, verification, validation, qualification,and certification of component hardwareSupport the development and execution of component-level test programs,including sensor characterization and calibration, sensor performancemodeling, and integrated on-vehicle testingContribute to the design and implementation of image signal processing(ISP) methods in collaboration with software and firmware engineers.Minimum Qualifications:B.S. in Imaging Science, Physics, Electrical engineering, Opticalengineering, or related areas of study7+ years of related experience with cameras, image sensors,and/orprecision opto-mechanical assembliesDemonstrated experience in the development, prototyping, testing,verification, and calibration of cameras or remote sensing systems foraerospace, automotive, medical, or robotics applicationsKnowledge of optical imaging system components (lenses, sensors, sensorand image processing electronics, etc.) and their character zationWorking knowledge of imaging systems, the imaging chain, and optical andimage quality characterizations (focus/MTF, radiometry and spectralresponse, distortion/camera models, color science,etc.)Experience with optical system designand simulation using tools such asZemaxOpticStudio, CodeV, FRED,LightTools, etc.Knowledge of image processing techniquesExperience in component procurement, integration, andtestsupportExperience in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, Rust, or other programming languageExcellent written and verbal communication...
